Childhood memories,
In a simple valley,
That lays forgotten,
I haven’t visited for a while,
But nor have you.

I make a sound,
It echoes around me,
Making me smile,
I listen to another echo,
That answers mine.

Looking around me,
I see a place,
I remember so well,
It was always just you and I,
Even if your not here,
It makes me smile,
If only for a while.

I close my eyes,
It’s almost like you’re here,
I whisper words,
Yet they don’t echo.

You were my echo,
I was yours,
Without you,
There is no us,
Without us,
There is no sound.

Distant echoes...

Feelings alway in touch with each other - now only silence. Powerful in it's poignancy.

No echoes from an incomplete piece.
