Abuser or victim? a flip of a coin,
I was you and you were me
woven into tapestry soiled and tattered,
crewel needle pushed to and fro
patterned by circumstance, thrown
into disarray the twin transposed
still living buried from the world.
Evil sought me out
destroyed and disillusioned.

Dazed I feel no pain, a dream world,
I forget and marvel at life again.
Sunshine on water, a favourite TV programme,
existing in a slight blur
I am maybe going to make it after all.
