Empty, Barren Space

bybrightlyiburn©

Lies bleed into truth,
From wounds that never heal.
Once you find a reality
Even one inside your mind,
Once you find your journey,
There's nothing left to find.
Because then you depend on others,
And lose what is yourself.
Your journey is your lie,
And you must blame someone else.
Behind a wall of glass,
The lonely child cries.
You cannot hear her words, but
She cannot hear your lies.
That's what makes her eyes go cold,
Like empty, barren space.
Yet you will never understand,
The smile on her face.
