decadent little girl
am i
wearing
little black dress
thigh high stockings
garters
patent leather
platform loafers
in blood red

circle of pearls
sweetly innocent
gypsy gold hoops
dangle
wickedly

hair in a 60's flip
eyes of Gibson girl
lips of Marilyn
such a classic

"you're such a classic
girl"
as Steve would say to me
long ago

mascara
runs through my tears
as i remember
singing
those words

i feel escapist

so why can't
someone rescue me?
