I was siting all alone, one dull and dreary day,
When you sister called and said you passed away.
Couldn't believe the words I was hearing,
Confused emotions were all that were stirring.
Loss and grief, feelings of bitter sorrow,
Thinking you'd always be here yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
So many times there were words that should have never been spoken,
Yet throughout the times the ties were never broken.
And though you've gone on to finish the race,
No one in the world will ever take you place.
You had a wild spirit and a caring heart,
It is with great sadness that we have to part.
So many memories, of the friendhip that we made,
And in the years to come, those memories will never fade.
But at this time, for now we say good bye,
We shall meet again, and I'll greet you with our eternal "Hi!"
