Excuse me,
Can you help me,
With a question that I have,
Cause I can't find the answer,
And I need to know real bad,
See my face,
And can you tell me,
Does anything look odd,

I swear there must be words there,
And I know just what they say,
They're visible only to guys I like,
And they make them turn away,
I'm sure they're there,
If you look real close,
You should see them too,
Cause you're the one I want,
But I don't mean that much to you,
So look again,
I know you'll see it,
Now that you know just where I stand,
In big bold letters on my forehead,
I'm sure it says,
"LETS JUST BE FRIENDS".

This isn't very poetic but it is real and honest. I like how you got my attention in the first stanza and made me curious enough to read the second part.
