eaves

fallen leaves
hide the path
that I walk
as I think
of you—

falling leaves
strip the trees
naked of colour
and the Beauty
of summer

fall leaves
void of life
full of decaying
memories rife
with changing

life mourning
the death of
past seasons love
lost yet still
hiding paths

life dreams
that linger on
in the present
tears that veil
my eyes

living still
a beating will
power to find
a new line
without leaves

life lost
and again tears
the path with
fallen leaves
of you . . .
