The first holiday's shared
Christmas magical
In every way with newly weds its
Beautifully enchanting..
No money, no problem it's time
for celebrations it's a
Christmas of first for sharing..
Wrapping empty boxes while he works
slipping
them under the tree all beautifully
beribboned
Red, gold, green, blue and silver...
Christmas morning we snuggle ..
Handing him a box he looks
at me for directions..
I tell him in the box is a gift of
our first child coming from
our love...
He picks up one, hands it to me
In this box he say's it's
Our first piece of furniture for
our home...
We go through the boxes time flew
We filled each box with love
With all dreams we shared
coming true...
We always wrapped an empty box
It wasn't really empty it
Held Our memories of the
Christmas 1967...
We ended up with eleven grandkids
Two happily married children
Things changed a few years ago
I found myself divorced
Yet, I have that empty box
For reminding me
Just to remind me how full my
Life is..
