‘Twas a day I’ll remember all my life,
A Saturday in December, a memory shared with my wife.
We bundled up Joe to protect him from the cold,
‘Twas the first time he saw snow, you’d think he saw gold.
Staring out the window, he couldn’t wait to go outside,
To play in the deep snow, his scarf and boots we tightly tied,
A memory hard to forget, one I’ll always remember,
That Saturday we let Joe play in the snow in December.
We plan on framing this poem. We have a son named Joe. He's 37 now but I'll never forget the first time he saw snow and it was very much like your poem.
