It was the first time, that night,
When time had thrust you forward into the fray,
The first time hands other than your own had touched you there,
And those old familiar feelings were weak memories by comparison,
Limp flashes of light next to the lightning in your belly,

It was the first time you felt flooded by the impotency to act,
And followed your body willingly into submission,
Obeying your lust,

It was the first time someone lived inside you,
Full blooded flesh enveloped by your body,
Moving with gentle, empassioned rhythm,

The first time ecstasy not of your making tumbled your soul,
Joy waves, wild surf breaking over you, relentless and mammoth,
A primeval drowning of your old life,

It was the first time you opened your eyes after the storm,
A timid kitten, fur sodden and eyes huge with surprise,
And saw the world anew,

And it was the first time I saw that smile,
Rapture's perfect portrait,
Painted on your face.
