A naked daughter flees her hamlet,
cleansed by napalm.

A Vietnamese monk topples from the lotus,
cleansed by gasoline.

A borderline girl named Jeanne prays,
cleansed by wood.

But who is the roast master?

I always enjoy your work, oneiria. This one's good, but I have to confess (no pun intended) the 3rd stanza felt too distant in time for me, however much the reasons for war overlap, and I think the poem would have been even better without it.

greenmountaineer here. For some reason, Lit still won't let me log on for comments.
