As Autumn fades and the leave finish falling,
the skies red as the morning is dawning,
I sit and watch the birds fly low,
Off into the distance they go.

My mind does wonder to times past,
of when I saw you last,
stood on the sand starring into the sea,
Dreaming of a life shared by you and me.

You took my hand and spun me round,
my feet lifting up off the ground,
the heat of your body pressed close up against mine,
As we started to dance and forget about time.

That was the day I gave you my heart,
swore together that we would never part,
how that seems so long ago,
As I remember my heart sinks low.

Time as stood still while you have been away,
how I dream of you returning one day,
but life was cruel and stole you that day,
Out of my arms it took you away.

So here I sit and reminisce,
thinking of that last final kiss,
and how your touch is truly missed,
but your soul lives on deep within mine,
Together throughout the rest of time
