FOREVER MINE

Poised.
It's 3:47:13.
And the world melts,
lines blur,
colors melding.
A tunnel vision of shrinking reality
is what is left,
all there is
Between Us.

3:47:20.
Breath is held.
The wind stills.
Time prepares to stop,
and like a great Mechanus,
on wheels Titans never greased,
the Beast slows down.
The Universe shudders.
The Fates crane their necks to see.

3:47:25.
Contact.
Iris and pupil and skipping beat.
Wings explode upward and out.
The Fates gasp.
My finger moves,
the iris snapping shut.
And time Stops,
the Beast halted,
the ship anchored,
in a world Frozen.

The subject,
forever mine.
