Trapped within her emotions, hurt and disappointment take over.
His deceptions uncovered, lies unfold, leaving her unable to breathe.
Her heart lies open, exposed, bleeding.
With each beat, she lets him go, pushing him further away.
She gains control of her mind, body and soul,
Taking back what she had once given away to him so freely.
Surrendering herself, her heart so willing, she trusted him,
He took what he wanted, needed at the time, then moved on.
Her will is strong, her spirit hopeful, she holds her head high,
Tears fall silently as she walks away, finally she is free
