Don't it seem like its takin' a mighty long time,
For peace to come and all mankind,
Can leave that hate and fear behind,
And love, and love.

When are we gonna be free,
Like the waves on the sea,
Or the birds in the trees.

We can really be free,
If we believe, if we believe,
In freedom, in freedom,
Yes freedom, for everyone.

How long will it be,
Until we see humanity,
Lovin', carin', givin', sharin',
Livin' together in harmony.

When we going to learn to live together,
When we going to learn to get along,
When we going to learn to love much better,
It's been taking us too damn long.
