It starts with grind
and ends in polish

Gritty, roughness dryly cuts while
shiny-clever lubricating endearments
distract from abrasion
Wince turns to gasp

Steady slip smooth persistance
rubs fine - finer - finest - finishing
Exposing me, stroke by stroke
layer by layer, laying me bare

Blowing my dust
Provoking my lustre
Revealing my gloss

Making me vulnerable
where I used to be robust
Caressing the shine
Until I'm his mirror

A brilliant

shine does indeed take a little work and finesse, but when done just right, leaves us glowing and open!

Making me vulnerable

where I used to be robust

Caressing the shine

Until I'm his mirror

Love this stanza - reflected lust...who's reflecting whom?

Great work! Thanks, LJ.

Brava!

"Making me vulnerable

where I used to be robust

Caressing the shine

Until I'm his mirror"

This says so very much. Eloquence abounds, love. I may be off but it screams to me... "Shape me! You've made me who I am."

Great work.
