As I move about my day
I can't help but crack a smile
When thoughts of you come my way
It makes every second worth while.
Even if tasks are weary
I can only see your eyes
Even if the day is dreary
All is masked in pleasant disguise.
Each day that I wake
Your picture I do greet
Sharp breath do I intake
An angel makes m'heart skip beats
As sunset turns sky golden brown
and when stars shine brightly in the skies
All I see is your hair cascading down
and the glimmer in your eyes
But what my heart does value most
although your face is beauty defined,
Its not the body but its host
Shamed is beauty compared to your mind
Your gentle love and subtle grace
Like air to body, sustains my soul
At peace I am when I see your face
But your mind is what keeps me whole
Thank you darling, purpose now evident
To return the peace and love ten fold
And to continue our merriment
Together, forever, growing old.
