Ice Queen
You call me
You say that I am cold
That I am harsh

That I do not feel

It is the truth
I know this as well as you
I admit to it
Own up to it

It is my armour against you

Against all like you
Everyone
Anyone
Who has ever cared for me

Who has ever made me care

You want me to thaw
To bare all
Unchain my soul
And heal my frostbitten heart

You offer to warm me
Offer to heal me
And you do
Until I am whole again

Then you stab me with ice
Right through my warmed heart
Until it is encased again
Blackened and cold once more

Why this cruelty?

Why make me feel again
And make me care?
Only to hurt me
And hear me cry?

Don't you know
How much you mean to me?
If I didn't care for you
I wouldn't be so hurt now

They burn my cheeks
These hot tears
And I rejoice
As they warm me for a while

But soon their heat leaves me
And I shiver once again
For even these scalding tears
Even they crystallise

Against my frozen heart

A

This is amazing, although I do wish you'd add another chapter to your story.
