every circle has a beginning and an end
a cup is full until its emptied
or emptied until it is filled
as yearnings build and swell
like a river to a damn, needing release
all humans need love
like a lotus needs sunshine and water

she lay like leaves on the forest floor
sweat beads falling like dew drops
I spread her legs gently
as if removing two small fallen trees
from the trail to clear a path
to heaven's gate

I grasp a mountain to make the climb
with my finger tips toying with pointed peaks
while the dragon enters the cave
her face lit up like a full moon
then she cracked a geisha smile

lightening flashed and thunder rumbled
as emotions swelled like the ocean waves
we rocked like a small boat at sea
making ripples in the pond
and moaning like soaring cranes
while a river flowed to the sea
I looked at her and she looked at me
our cups now empty and yet full-filled
the circle was complete
