the sun it smiles
and the clouds they dance
frilly children laugh and prance
such a pretty pretense

the birds they sing
in hollow morning
everyone has forgotten
what is was like

the twins they fell
and many cried
but now the laugh and play
life goes on without a sigh
and everywhere people die

but on that day in every way
the world was a shade of grey
if not the blockage of passengers to heaven
then the melancholy color of the buildings

across the river nothing was clear to see
the shining stars were hard at work
illuminating the path for those running desperately

not everything that glitters is gold
and much in the very same way
not everything that is gold has to glitter
the angels put the scissor to the thread
took a leap to guide those who were not yet gone

god is watching
and every day in every way
the globe is spherical in shape

what goes around does one day cometh back
never must you forget that
the lights burnt out that fateful day
shall be avenged someday

and life goes on.
