I cannot settle to what I’m meant to be doing
Addictive games lure and entice me.
So an hour will pass before I remember
That work was my priority,
Never-mind, five more minutes.
An hour or two later I restart my computer,
And vow to not click for internet explorer
But my fingers are itching
And my resolve starts to crumble,
The story can wait, the deadline is tomorrow
The shadows start to lengthen and nothing is written
Pool rating is rising, but inspiration is dwindling
My story must be written, or I’ll get a spanking,

WickedEvealmost 20 years agoAre you playing online, then stop, then restart your computer and get distracted again? Are you writing a story for literotica and if you don't, you get spanked? And what is a "pool rating" and why is it rising?
It may help to put this aside and read it again later, then maybe you can more easily see where it could be confusing to a reader. I've done this myself, especially after someone has asked what I'm talking about. :)
