…(Games) Only A Woman Can Play
Written by J. Barrera (March 29th 2005)

Were his lips like mine?
Did they whisper sweet as I that you were the only one for all time and kingdom come?
Were his eyes loving filled?
Did his eyes pierce the soul as deeply as your touch did my own with sweetness and surrender?
Does his heart call out your name?
In likeness as mine does and ever will do from now until the dawning of reason and loving kind?

What’d you think when you thought you were free to play these games with me?
The tide grows high in bitter lullabies,
Yet and now, and I did set you free,
To play such games with me.

When the whirlwind counters and flows over our forgotten love, (forgotten only in your heart, yet deep in my own does long to be re-kindered) will the reaper of mast despair come sweetly deep in here.
So long’d in broken hearted as you lipped your lips to his,
The blade ensheaths my being.
So laugh you mock my pain struck beating,
Dare you kiss and mock me further.

Were those lips like mine?
My dreams of horror overshadow my weakened being,
But did they satisfy you further?
Does it make you love to love me further,
As you love one other more dearer?
Lead me on,
Lead me on and drop the bomb,
And on you led and the bomb did its worst.

What’d you think when you came to be,
And play those tricks on me?
Now swallowed pride struck me at my side.
A heart like this is need,
Yet play your game with me.

Were his lips like mine?
When they kissed,
When they whisper,
When they share the love sweet and sweeter design?
Or is he like me,
A selfish game,
Fair dead game for thee?
Were his lips the same?

Evocative!

Powerful in it's comparisons. Very strong images and the mood is very evocative and emotional. Well Crafted!

Deep

I really enjoyed it. Seemed to come from your heart and that works for me <smiles>
