your love a beacon from across the sea
true love that i once knew
every night i cry your name
but it comes as a whisper to you

so i lay in disbelief
on many a lonely night
and dream you back into my arms
where i can hold you tight

and forget you are gone
far across the sea
for i will make that deadly trek
and bring you back to me
