I give you my heart

Though it is black and blue

Because the truth is this

I'll always belong to you

You see beneath the pain

You see the beauty under it all

When you hold me close

I feel like I'll never fall

I know I'm giving you a mess

But it is all that is left of me

It's the gift of myself

I give it to you unselfishly

I know that pain is part of life

There will be more to come

But I'm trusting you with my heart

I give it to you in one lump sum

Do with it what you want

I am completely yours in every way

Mend me, love me, destroy me

I no longer want any say

I just want to be yours

Even if I'm destined for heart break

In the end it won't matter

Because at least I loved you for goodness' sake

So here I am now

Body, soul, mind, and heart

Yours to keep and hold

Or yours to rip apart

Just promise me one thing

That if you destroy me

You'll rip out my heart

And throw it into the deepest sea

For I will not live without your love

I will not be able to go on

So bury me alive

As I face the grim reaper's song
