Whirling and twirling,
Giggling and secret telling,
Girls, be they little or grown up,
All at one stage liked the same things,
The magic of being young, carefree and innocent,
Ponies, fairies and magic,
Just a couple of the things we once deemed important,
The older we get the less important they are,
Soon they’re replaced with something else,
Slumber parties and movie nights,
Gossiping and boys,
Make-up, hairstyles and fashion,
We don’t kiss and tell,
Well at least not often,
Emotional, we all are, there’s no denying it,
It just comes with the territory of being a girl.

You left out the magic of unicorns

Or teddy bears and Barbie dolls;

There are some things for which a girl will never grow up!

Stages!

The joy of being a girl at the various stages of life. Beautiful evocative rendering.
