Glory Hound Custer!

byUncle Pervey©

George Armstrong Custer was a "Glory Hound,"
He never was a good commander.
He caused more deaths in the ranks of his men,
Than the Rebs did with all their "Dander."

George Armstrong Custer had no respect for,
Phil Sheridan or Ulysis Grant.
George Custer only thought about himself,
He'd read about his glory and pant.

He thought he knew more than the Generals,
So ignored his orders he received.
He pretended he didn't understand,
And the newspaper men he deceived.

But George Armstrong Custer learned one fine day,
When he and Comanche' made their stand.
He died in the year of Seventy Six,
His last act in that Dakota land!!
