First off, none of the old rules apply
If you win you live, you lose you die
This is my game of life.

Secondly, I arise - I always win
It's my own demise

The game won't end
Move your piece, hurry now
It won't be long, you're wondering how
You could ever deal with
Anything that's real

You know I'd do that for you
I would caress your sweet thoughts
With the tongue of opression
As my mind struggles
To penetrate yours
It's so easy to manipulate

A tragic daemon of consequence
I arise from the dead
To sanctify your will
To bless your religion
With the tainted chastity of
Truth

The bluntness of it all
It won't change your regret
A mistake nonetheless

It defies all reason
Another evangelistic form of treason
You've cheated

The solution is simple
A genetic constitution of wills
Made out to the tune of
Outward appearances

I'm the book you put down at night
When you fear your weary subconscious
Will run rampant
Turning you away as though
You were vermin

A sensation similar to flame
A consolation I couldn't blame
For stealing the fame

Something went amiss
There's bound to be something
More than this...

But still you think to yourself
Will I ever escape?
You're mind may

Body trapped, a pendulum swings near
Soon you won't be here

My vindication rehearsed
The Church with it's blessing
Kills me sweetly
As I die within the arms of my beloved
I shall not die

Henceforth
I shall live on
To be renamed
In the legend-telling words
Of the greek statues
Who hold so still
The frame of beauty

Once revered.
