This poem (mine) goes with the picture “Guess Who”(someone else’s) on this site.

Golden mane,
burned crimson by the dying sun
my heart burns too
as fiercely and for as long
for wouldn’t any man trek for Sol’s lifetime
to find out who she is, who she could be?
I reach for subtle curves,
yearn for taut, smooth muscle
under creamy flesh
my fingers ache to comb through her hair
yet I cannot know her
as her mirror stares in blank desire.
