Im a hard man, doing hard time,
Who’s hard a life, fell into hard crime.
They all say im guilty, they all say I should rot.
But I can see in your eye’s, the answer is not.
Not to be gone, not to be lost.
But I’m sorry, tomorrow back to that big bad boss.
The warden he hates me, wants to feed me to the sharks,
Strip me naked; run around the yard stark,
Naked as the day I was born, humiliated and sad,
Serving this time, I was I wasn’t as bad as lad.
Guilty as I might be, of the terrible wrongs,
The thing I feel most guilty about is leaving you for so long.
