spanish moss
hangs from old giant oaks
along the river

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
dew drops drip
from tall yellow flowers
sun dried tears
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

white water river
turmoil and tranquility meet
nature's backdrop

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
rippled water
sings along the shore
wind in harmony
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

a fish swimming
under the river's surface
waving its tail

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
a Praying Mantis
in still silent prayer
from a frog's mouth
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

snow tracks
over the crest of a hill
leaves a trail
