HALF FORGOTTEN
(BIRDS OF PREY)

This morning it was sunny, it was blue,
In early afternoon it went all gray,
It happened that today I thought of you,
In a familiar but half-forgotten way.

I did not think of losses or of pain,
I thought only of roses, your sweet lips,
This grey probably will bring some rain,
But I don't care whichever way it weeps.

I thought of you and me in love so pure,
That cannot be affected by this gray,
Each one in our own way will endure,
Cause after all, we are two birds of prey.

In a familiar but half-forgotten way,
The eagles, and the seagulls, and the hawks,
They fly, they hunt and still they play,
Through our romantic half-forgotten walks.
