Halloween comes but once a year,
with all its glittering sparks of cheer.
With demons, vermin and vampire blood,
all disguised in fiendish fun.

But once a year the real thing comes,
crippled, bloody and full of fun.
Once a year the vampires rise.
Once a year they take their prize.

Is it possible it could be you?
A fiendish felon full of goo?
Might you stumble down a hall,
Just to find it’s not a ball?

Each frightening costume that you see,
may not contain your family’s tree.
If this continues on I’m told
Mortality will become extinct and bold.

So on Halloween night, be prepared.
Lock your doors, and don’t act scared.
Seal your windows with more than glass.
Be prepared for the coming blast.

For what I’ve told you is very true,
I should know,
 cause,
 I’m coming for you…
