Its been so long now since
I was that girl
that child
someone so innocent
so trusting
so sweet
Its years later now and those
times are still haunting
destroying me
so it feels
from the inside out
ripping out my heart..
tearing at my soul..
poking out my eyes..
It feels like
I'm learning to walk again
..but that my steps
are hindered by all those
shattered screams
like glass I can feel them
whispering in my mind..
nipping at my heels..
chasing me into my future..
