He Doesn't Buy Gas Anymore
Jimmy had a very fast car.
He loved driving it really far.
He also had a pickup truck,
For those times he wanted to fuck,
In his truck bed beneath the stars.
He'd leave his truck running for hours.
Then when the gas prices shot up,
He couldn't afford a fill up.
Now, he waits for prices to fall,
Up dollars, down pennies they crawl.
He sold his car, he sold his truck,
He rides a bike, his life now sucks.
He can't bike fast, he can't bike far,
Saves on gas but misses his car.
Wishing he had his truck to fuck,
Now, he is just shit out of luck.
He met a girl riding his bike,
Her face was cute, her skirt was hiked.
They rode together tandem two,
Then they married and said I do.
Now with identical twin boys,
He spoils them, buys them lots of toys.
He never buys them cars or trucks,
'Cause oil and car makers all suck.

KOLKOREalmost 16 years agoIt stats like a Ballad and ends like a happy Romance, which means that we get to enjoy (that is if we allow ourselves not to be overly serious for two minutes) two genres without the downer part of any. You can skip my learned explanation if you wish, but if you insist here it is: Ballades start low but end really low (not here!); Romance starts low (not here!) and ends with a happy ending –Elementary Mr. Watson!
If only the price of Gas could be resolved as easily!
