of the crime
blood e-words
still in evidence
the thief speaks
edgy eloquent lust
here, gather 'round
victims, groupies all
I’ll still swoon
even now
lightheaded
chest gaping
at this empty cliché
howling a demand
for him to return
the stolen part
when you first posted it, but that was just after I did my Monday new poem reviews and I go through a cooling off period. After so many comments you get kind of batty. Anyway, I had to come back and say something here.
I love the phrasing and intricate wordplay. The bloody words / blood e-words is fantastic, as is the "...empty cliche howling a demand..." Wonderful poem. I will be watching for more.
jim : )
in my experience,
they *never* return the parts
howl or no howl
you have to grow them back yourself-
then you come back around to show
how much *better* the new ones are
compared to the ones
you left with them
your poem made me paranoid
and I dont know the answer
does seem to come up a lot
edgy eloquent lust
here, gather 'round
victims, groupies all
I?ll still swoon
even now
Liked your word choices and how you strung them up. Nice work.
