Standing naked with the scratches of duplicity and the burns of humiliation marring my skin
I stand at the edge of the beach on the ocean of truth
A tidal wave builds, ready to pounce
I am small, meaningless, lost among the Ocean of despair
The salt burns my scraped feet where I walked upon the broken shells of lies
The tidal wave of sorrow gathers like the winds of anguish
I try to suck in the last breath of hope only to find the air dead with misery
The water of sadness crashes on the shore of betrayal and embraces my torn and tattered flesh stinging my heart until I drown beneath the cold
