This is my first ever poem. It may suck, it may be lousy, but it is a true cry from the heart. Call it therapy, if you will. I'm not looking for sympathy or put-downs.

*

My spirit, sadly, was worn
My heart, wronged, had torn
The One that I loved,
Stabbed my soul by adultery
And the witch did this,
Repeatedly.

The onset, ironically,
Was during couples therapy.
You were sitting so cool
While you played me
Like a fool.

I wasn't there for that first orgy
Or your first taste of pussy.
Was I ever in your thoughts
As you dove deeper in revelry?

Upon your confession,
and in mid-confusion,
I moved from cuckold,
To participant.

I gave you more liberty
Arranged lust for three.
And to your eyes, exposed
My bisexuality.

Alas, more and more
You wanted to explore
Under a strange impetus
Even forbade me cunnilingus.

I finally had an inkling
After some New Year's loving
When you embraced Ebony
Quite more tenderly than me.

J. , my heart, at that moment,
Was breaking.

Your further transgressions,
And more admissions
Of your need for black dicking
Sent me out of control, reeling.

When you kicked me out of our bed
And started laying with Bo, Aimé or Fred.
You finally turned my love into hate.
For that year, hell was my fate.

A year later, alone and bitter,
I'm wondering if life will get better.
Will I find another and love her?

I came, chasing a rabbit down a hole ... and found savage honesty. Thanks for sharing!

So full

Your heartbreak is open for all to see here. The clear description of the betrayal makes one feel the pain of the writer so easily. Well done, 5 stars. You earned it.

A true cry of the heart

Searingly open and honest. Cuts to the bare emotions of a broken heart. Great poem.
