Shadows run long disappearing into the cover of heavy skies.
The stillness hypnotic in it’s silence fixates it’s intent
Slowly as one might lay a blanket over a loved one, the rain falls

Colors are now seen in their true form and thoughts can manifest
Uninhibited

Held in place under the weight of heavy skies
accompanied by the rhythmic plink of each rain drop
I am lost in thoughts of yesterday’s sun shinning on me
as if I were chosen to be special
Only to find myself once again in need of cleansing

I stand stripped of yesterday and tomorrow
As they both pass before me in the black and white
That is the blessing of heavy skies
