A longing fills my soul
As moonlight rains down
And I think of her.

The gentle rush of water
Fills the air with sound
And I think of her.

I see so much everyday;
So many seemingly insignificant things,
But I want to share them all with her.

Snow crunches underfoot on the path
As the silent trees offer strange comfort
And I think of her.

I close my eyes and she smiles
Or is it you?
Lady, I miss her.

My cynicism melts when she is there
And my soul feels at ease,
Lady, I need her.

Nature's call

A walk in the woods ~ trees whispering of past love, shared secrets, as does the grass ~ offering strange comfort.
