Her fingers played a melody
one that was rich and fine.
They danced upon her body
and shivered up her spine.

As fingernails scrapped flesh
and whispers filled her soul
Her mind became a secret place
of fine mosaic gold.

Deep inside her thoughts
she tightly wove a dream.
One that locked him deep inside
where only she could scheme.

She’d play upon a memory
where he was with her there,
and she would always tempt herself.
It’s all too much to bare.

But she would just keep going
her hands joining in the mix.
Soon she was a gasping
and craved yet another fix.

She reached out with her hand
and grabbed the bottle tight.
Now awash in amber liquid
her body felt just right.

The smell of that cheap liquor
was washed away just then
as the climax that shook within her
brought him back again.

Each night she goes to sleep
the scent of lust in the air
is always mingled with the flavor
of a whiskey coated snare.

You see, she’s lost him to another,
but each night when she drinks
They reunite, and she smiles again
'til the morning when her heart sinks

Someday she’ll see the ending
the path of sweet release.
And when the bullet finds her
she’ll finally feel complete.

Typo?

Bare? Or bear?... Pretty good nonetheless but you seem to favor/reuse certain rhymes... Or maybe I read too many of your poems :/

I know whereof you speak. It's called the empty bottle blues. Thank You Ronnie W.
