Here we go again.
Once more waiting,
fidgeting, mewling,
at this crossroads of indecision.
It feels so good and
it feels so bad and
time is ticking, the window
of opportunity for that recharge is closing….
Closing….
If I had half a brain,
I would help it slam shut,
dust off my hands,
and limp away.

But it feels so bad.
And I’ve never been a
real big fan
of real big pain.

So, I leap once more
through the window,
only scraping my sides as I go.

At least I’m through!

I smile at the paper cut-out clouds
and the wind in my hair.
For now, it feels like flying.
Not falling.
And I won’t know the difference until I hit the ground.
