Strumming song into my soul
rough, calloused, hard working hands
fingertip traces over collarbone
outlining patterns of His canvas
touching here, sometimes there
maybe reaching to brush back the hair
so eyes can lock,
sometimes touching lids,
so they close
Fingertip traces over curves and lines
Maybe a tease, maybe not
Strength commanding, leading the dance
Two fingers maybe three
Taking, hard, sometimes easy
Always giving
Strumming His song
when fire rains
Soothing hands caress
fingertip touches
guiding mine
Hands taking hair
lacing fingers
sometimes easy
sometimes not
promises unspoken
through His touch
His hands
