Darkness at the core
A whole that goes all the way through
It was like this before
It almost feels right
It nearly feels good

Certainly that warmth in my chest was foreign
An akward rhythm in my chest
It couldn't be mine because it didn't obey me
Start, stop, Race, Skip
It obeyed her whims

It wasn't there before she came
But it lingered when she left
Only for a while then it left on its own
It must have returned to it's owner
And left the spot hollow.
