You look at me and see
the fear I try to hide.
You look at me and see
how scared I am inside.

You look at me and see
how miserable I feel.
You look at me and see
my struggle with what is real.

You see all these things,
every time you look at me.
You see all this and more,
but you don't talk to me.

You look at me and watch,
waiting for me to break.
You watch me and wait,
feeling my heart ache.

You sit and wonder still,
what this must be like for me?
You wonder and wait for me to fulfill,
this prophesy you see in me.

You do not ask what I feel.
You do not want to know.
You do not see my will.
You do not see what I do not wish to show.

You see all these emotions,
you fret and worry for me.
But what you don't know,
is how hollow I can be.
