Real magic exists
in dandelion breezes, fall carnivals,
the opposing poles of kissing lips;
in standing at my backdoor,
inhaling humid honeysuckle twilight,
the humming ghosts of dead sons pleading
under orange streetlight constellations.

"Leave the door closed."
“Go and play.”
