speaking as if i knew the meaning
living as if i had never heard the word
contradictions flow and muddy the spirit
seeking to find a stillness that clarifies
forgiving the past to embrace the now
embracing the now to enhance the future
it is hidden deep within a darkness of soul
fear not the darkness that must be searched
stripping away the dark foul things that cling
bringing it into the light with courage
finding courage to follow what it dictates
to polish it and keep it strong and true

I like the way you have picked up and repeated words in this, it ties it all together.

Thank you

Thanks for your comment, njoyjade. It is something that i have to deal with from time to time. A kind of who I used to be vs who I am becoming issue lol. I think we all go through it from time to time; as well as again and again in my case :)

Moving contradictions

I especially like the first two lines. Friendly reminder.

Thanks :)
