Some new old space
As I assemble
The basic elements
Of my life
What comes first
The sterio
The bed
The table
Before all that
I pace the lines
The empty rooms
How nice to have you there
So that the first thing we do
Is bring love to this house
As the first memory
Tucked into neat corners
Of the wall to wall carpet
With you on top
Me burning below
.
Relentless you
Lone long rider
On the coming storm
Forward reverse cowboy
While I buck and bolt
And head for the hills
Reign me in if you can
I may just turn again
Just to turn over on you
To take you down a notch
Or two or three or four
With the fresh smell
Your legs
Close enough
For me to taste
Ride hard and fast
Take me here and there
Wherever where
You wish to go
I am aching to come along
.
In this transition
Making a homey home
We fill the empty space
With warm coals of desire
Sweet sheets of pleasure
Rich spices of your scents
Making soft moments
For me to lay my head
Rest in dreamy memory
Sunlit times when
We made this carpet burn
