My human condition
is a life of submission.
The query is to whom?

Bosses bellow for productivity.
Family vying for all my energy,
pushing the limits of my sanity.

They all have an angle,
when they try and finangle.
My sanity is what they mangle.

Too long have I been compliant,
it is time to become defiant.
My mission is to find a medicant.

I have paid my due.
To my own self be true,
before my death I rue.

I have learned to say no.
Their petty concerns must go.
Heal your human condition.

Again, again, again

A fantastic poem on a subject we all know a bit about, life and work and kids and everything else all gets us down at some point, always somone demanding something else from us. This comes across clearly and intelligently in your writing, another outstanding poem. ~ J

Very true...

how we are all just weighed down by life's endless demands and obligations. Good points.
