I hunger
for a glimpse of you.
Deep down,
where longing lives
unseen,
I crave the sight of you.

I hunger
for the sound of you.
Deep down,
where longing sighs
unheard,
I crave the melody of you.

I hunger
for the taste of you.
Deep down,
where longing waits
untapped,
I crave the flavor of you.

I hunger
for the scent of you.
Deep down,
where longing breathes
untraced,
I crave the fragrance of you.

I hunger
for the feel of you.
Deep down,
where longing groans
unmet,
I crave an embrace from you.

Longing

is what life seems about - How true that is - and how often longing is the last real lifeline...
