These
heavy words
heart pierce
damning the one
to hear.
A burden to bear
and I fear
ever saying
the words I so
want to whisper.
Desperation
temptation
anticipation.
Dare I divulge
my intention
and lodge deeper
the bullet,
the bomb,
the blade?

the title

ties this together. I didn't focus on it on my first read and was a bit lost.

I like this type of structure, short lines conveying thought. Not easy to pull off.
